Re Midas Corvina hails from the Veneto, a region located in Northeast Italy with a deep winemaking history. This expansive region with sunny hillsides is home of the delicious Corvina wine. Re Midas Corvina fully expresses the Veneto region’s luscious cherry and vanilla flavors.
As the myth goes, everything that Re (King) Midas touched turned to gold. Re Midas wines are an example of this “golden touch.”

GROWING AREA:
Re Midas vineyards are located in the splendid hills situated between Verona and Venezia. The vineyards are cultivated in calcareous soils which are rich in potassium and magnesium. The vines are trained both in pergola Veronese and spalliera.
VINIFICATION AND MATURATION:
Harvest: September
Winemaking and Fining: Fermented in stainless steel taks at 68° F; Maceration on the skins for 12 days.
Aging: 3 months in stainless steel followed by 1 month in bottle before release.

APPEARANCE: Brilliant ruby red
BOUQUET: Perfumes of red flowers such as violet and roses as well as cherries and sweet spices.
PALATE: Medium weight with cherry and vanilla flavors.

Re Midas wines are made by Cantina di Soave, a cooperative made up of 2,200 winegrowers and farmers. Founded in 1898, Cantina di Soave currently has 6,000 hectares under vine of which 70% are DOC and 30% DOCG.
